After Enforcement Directorate rejects her request, Rhea Chakraborty reaches ED office in Mumbai on Friday.
The ED is investigating the financial angle in Sushant’s death case and has named Rhea under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The ED had asked the actor to appear before the agency at its Mumbai office on August 7.
Her counsel, Satish Maneshinde stated: “Rhea Chakraborty is a law-abiding citizen. In view of the fact that ED has informed the media that the request to postpone the attendance is rejected, she has appeared in the ED at the appointed time and date.”
The Bihar government told the Supreme Court on Friday that Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of the Patna FIR to Mumbai in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case was “premature, misconceived and non-maintainable”, and needed to be dismissed.
However, Rhea’s building supervisor while speaking to Republic TV said that the actor and her family left in the middle of the night earlier this week. He claimed that the family of 4 left together in a blue car and had big suitcases with them.
