Renault India reports 55% rise in June wholesales, H1 sales jump 61%

Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, reported a strong sales performance in June 2026, with domestic wholesales rising 55 per cent year-on-year to 4,063 units. The automaker also posted a 61 per cent increase in first-half sales, reaching 25,844 units, extending its streak of double-digit monthly growth to ten consecutive months. The company attributed the sustained momentum to growing customer acceptance of its evolving product strategy and rising demand across its vehicle portfolio. The latest sales figures underscore Renault India’s continued expansion in the domestic passenger vehicle market amid improving consumer sentiment.

In another key development, Renault India commenced exports of the all-new Renault Duster during June. The company dispatched the first shipment of 750 units to South Africa, marking the beginning of international deliveries of the latest-generation SUV from its Indian operations. The move is expected to strengthen India’s role as an export hub for Renault’s global markets.

In Guwahati, the company’s consistent growth is expected to support demand across the region, where interest in compact SUVs and value-driven passenger vehicles continues to remain strong. Industry observers believe the commencement of Duster exports and sustained domestic sales momentum could further reinforce Renault’s presence in Northeast India, with dealerships in Guwahati likely to benefit from increased customer enquiries and improved market confidence.
