Xiaomi India has launched the REDMI A7 Pro 5G, marking the first Pro model in its A Series, aimed at delivering enhanced everyday smartphone experiences at an accessible price point. The device features a segment-leading 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 800 nits, offering improved clarity even in outdoor conditions. It also includes Wet Touch technology 2.0 and triple TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certification with DC dimming for reduced eye strain.
The REDMI A7 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core 5G processor and supports up to 8GB virtual RAM expansion, ensuring smoother multitasking. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0, integrating features like Google Gemini, Circle to Search, Xiaomi Hyper Island, and enhanced interconnectivity. The smartphone packs a segment-leading 6300mAh battery with 15W charging and 7.5W reverse charging, while maintaining a slim 8.15mm design. It also includes a 32MP AI dual rear camera, 8MP front camera, AI Sky, and Document Mode.
In Kolkata, the launch is expected to intensify competition in the affordable 5G segment, where demand remains strong among budget-conscious consumers seeking high battery capacity and larger displays. Retailers anticipate steady traction due to competitive pricing and feature-rich offerings. The REDMI A7 Pro 5G starts at an introductory price of Rs 11,499 and will be available via Amazon India, Mi.com, and retail stores starting April 15.
