Recently a mild intensity earthquake hit western Meghalaya

On Tuesday afternoon a mild-intensity earthquake hit western Meghalaya, an official said. The earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 was detected at a depth of 5 km in West Garo Hills district at 2:27 pm, the official at the Regional Seismological Centre here said. Actually the tremors were felt across the state but there were no reports of loss of lives or damaged property. This is not very serious issue as this type of incident always happens and people need to know how to survive from it.

Today it becomes very important for all people to know how to survive from any disaster as people can need it any time. If you see the state of Meghalaya being situated in seismic zone V is highly vulnerable to earthquakes. People can face this type of situation anytime and by proper knowledge they can survive from it.
