Recently a mega blood donation camp was held at the City Center of Siliguri, spearheaded by the Lions Club Siliguri Unity Wings in collaboration with the Lions Club of Uttarayan Centennial and Uttarayan Queens. Actually this camp marks the Silver Jubilee year celebration, during which 25 blood donation camps have been organized over two days in Siliguri and surrounding areas by various branches of the Lions Club. Despite the rain, many people actually came forward to donate blood.
Jaya Periwal, speaking on the occasion, actually highlighted the significance of the Silver Jubilee year and the organization of 25 blood donation camps within two days. She emphasized that this initiative could significantly alleviate the blood shortage and encouraged everyone to participate in blood donation. This is actually very good news and people should encourage this as it is good for everyone. In fact people should do this type of things for the betterment of society and help each other in need.
