The CRPF will send more 18 companies to J&K in the response of recent terror attacks in Rajouri district in which six civlians died. The additional 1,800 troops will be installed largely in Poonch and Rajouri districts to intensify anti-terror operations in the region. Nine companies have already reached Rajouri and the left troops will arrived by tonight, according to people aware of the matter.
According to reports, the security forces will organize counter-terrorism operations south of Pir Panjal Range.
The establishment of action comes days after six civilians, including a four-year-old child, died in terror attacks at Dhangri, a Hindu-populated village in Rajouri district. Pritam Pal, 56, Shiv Pal, 32, Deepak Kumar, 23, and Satish Kumar, 45, were killed when unknown terrorists shoot on them on Sunday. Vihan Sharma, 4 and Samiksha Sharma, 16, were killed a day later when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near the scene of the shooting.
