At the meeting, Queen Elizabeth’s death will be announced and a traditional proclamation will be read aloud. Bells will toll at Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral and Windsor Castle in tribute to the Queen. A 96-round gun salute will be fired in Hyde Park and elsewhere to mark each year of his life. The flags will return to the full mast for a 24-hour period starting at 13:00 BST on Saturday, before returning to half-mast to announce King Charles as King.
