Confederation Of Indian Industry (CII) Nagaland branch in association with the department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under the World Bank Assisted project conducted its first phase of Industry Connect Program in Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur, Mangyangnokcha Higher Secondary School Mokokchung and Baptist Thangyen Higher Secondary School Tuensang on March 10.
According to chairperson, CII Nagaland State Council & CEO Faith Hospital, Hokhuli Sema the programme was aimed to generate awareness and promote youth participation in Industrial Training and self employment.
Past CII chairman and director, NIIT Dimapur, Ajay Sethi participated as resource person at CHSS Dimapur and principal ITI Dimapur, Imchen delivered short speech. Around 300 students from CHSS and ITI Dimapur attended the program.
Instructor ITI Mokokchung, Lipokyanger led the interactive session and president MCCI Mokokchung, Tsukti Longkumer and CII past chairman and MD SymBios Creations, L.Mongkum Jamir participated as resource person.
Altogether, 156 students from MHSS and ITI Mokokchung attended the session.
At Baptist Thangyen Higher Secondary School, Tuensang, Angelish Ronghangpi was the resource person while a local entrepreneur, Chuba Khiamniungan talked on the “Skills and Entrepreneurship”.
It was followed by a brainstorming discussion on skill development and the importance of entrepreneurship. The programme was attended by 52 students.
