Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Reviews Congress Preparedness, Meets State Leaders in Assam

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra continued her Assam visit on Friday with a tight schedule of internal meetings, focusing on strengthening the Congress organisation ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. According to the official programme, she arrived at Assam Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati, at 9:30 AM. Just five minutes later, she began meetings with the presidents of different party cells. The purpose of these meetings is to review the work done by various wings of the party and to assess how prepared they are at the grassroots level.

She will also meet the three working presidents of the state Congress unit. The discussions are expected to focus on coordination, strategy and the present political situation in Assam. In another important session, she will hold talks with the four chairpersons of the party’s election committees. These discussions are likely to centre on election planning, booth-level management and mobilisation of workers.

Priyanka Gandhi is also scheduled to have a separate meeting with Leader of the Opposition Debabrata Saikia. The two leaders are expected to discuss the political climate in the state and the role of the party in the Assembly. After completing the meetings, she will leave for New Delhi at 1:30 PM.
