Film producer Ashoke Pandit on Thursday registered a complaint against actress Richa Chadha over her ‘Galwan says hi’ tweet which has drawn attention from various fields of people. The complaint – filed with the Juhu Police Station in Mumbai – claims the actor’s tweet as a ‘criminal act’ and calls for a FIR to be filed against her.
The actress came under fire after she responded to the declaration of Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi – that the Indian Army is ready to stick to govt. orders on reclaiming parts of Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan.
Her comments evoke the ire of social media and she was criticised for mocking the Indian Army and denigrating the sacrifice of the jawans in the 2020 Galwan clash between India and China. The actress later expressed regret for accidentally hurting the feelings of the ‘brothers in the Army’, stating her thought was not to offend anyone.
