The Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) will be held on June 12, 2023, in more than 200 districts nationwide as part of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to increase career opportunities for India’s youth under the Skill India Mission. Local businesses and organizations have been invited to participate in mela to provide relevant apprenticeship training opportunities to local youth. Through this platform, organizations can connect with potential apprentices and choose from their qualifications, strengthening the livelihood opportunities of the youth.
This apprenticeship mela is open to Class 5 to Class 12 pass-outs, ITI certificate holders, Diploma holders, or graduates. Candidates must bring three copies of their resume, three copies of all marksheets and certificates, photo ID, and three passport-size photographs to the respective venues. The locations are also available on the apprenticeship mela portal.
Through this mela, candidates can earn NCVET-recognized certifications, improving their employability rate.Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,said,”to harness the demographic dividend of the country, it is imperative that we have the most effective strategies for a smooth transition from education to livelihood, and apprenticeship training is an integral part PM vision.”
