PM Modi receives award for the welfare of Indian-American minorities

The Association of Indian American Minorities (AIAM), a recently established non-governmental organization, was introduced at the Silgo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Maryland. The goal of this project is to unite and enhance the welfare of minority groups in the Indian American diaspora. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Global Peace Award for Minority Upliftment. In recognition of his efforts to promote minority support and holistic growth, the Association of Indian American Universities (AIAM) and Washington Adventist University jointly presented the prize.

With the help of a seven-member Board of Directors that represented various Indian minority communities, including Christian Pawan Bezwada and Elish Pulivarti, Muslim Junaid Qazi, Sikh Dr. Sukhpal Dhanoa and Baljinder Singh, Hindu Dipak Thakker, and Indian Jewish Nissim Reuben, Jasdip Singh, a well-known Sikh philanthropist, was named the founder of AIAM. Jasdip Singh, the chairman of AIAM, emphasized the group’s dedication to advancing PM Modi’s goal of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.

Members of the Indian minority community praised PM Modi for advancing India’s international position and preserving the country’s constitutional commitment to secularism. They denounced the initiatives that stoked communal differences and supported the idea that India’s minorities are now resisting false narratives meant to erode the nation’s growth and unity. In order to foster harmony among Indian Americans and increase their influence on the rich diversity of the US, the AIAM will be crucial.
