Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral and delegation-level talks with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in New Delhi. The two leaders reviewed various aspects of bilateral relations and discussed ways to further advance the potential of the India-Saudi Arabia strategic partnership.
PM Modi emphasized India-Saudi Arabia partnership’s importance for regional stability, global welfare, and India’s interests, and thanked Crown Prince for his contribution to G20 Summit success. PM Modi said that it has been decided to start a historic economic corridor between India, West Asia and Europe. The Prime Minister said, this corridor will not only connect the two countries but will also help in facilitating economic development and digital connectivity between Asia, West Asia and Europe.
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia emphasized the ongoing cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia, stating that the relationship has never faced any disagreements. He said, that “today’s talks will provide new energy and direction to the relations. This will inspire us to work together for the welfare of humanity”.India and Saudi Arabia have signed the minutes of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council’s first meeting, highlighting their strong economic and socio-cultural ties, with bilateral trade exceeding $52 billion in 2022-23.
