On the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (NRI Day), the Ministry of External Affairs today launched the “Chalo India” global digital portal. The initiative encourages members of the Indian diaspora to nominate and sponsor at least one non-Indian friend or colleague to visit India in 2026. Additionally, the Finance Ministry announced a new “Fast-Track Investment Window” for NRIs looking to invest in India’s emerging green-tech sectors, aiming to leverage the intellectual and financial capital of the 32-million-strong global community.
