The 13.71 km, Rs 4,249 crore Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line, which has 12 stations, was officially opened here on Friday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The operational East-West Corridor (Purple Line), which runs from Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield Station, is said to be extended to the east by this stretch, according to officials. They added that this will shorten travel time on this route by 40% and ease traffic congestion.
