Philips launches ‘OneChef’ smart appliance to simplify Indian cooking

Philips Home Appliances has launched ‘OneChef’, an all-in-one smart cooking appliance aimed at simplifying everyday cooking for Indian households. The product was unveiled at a “Chef’s Tasting Table” event in Mumbai, curated by celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, where guests experienced live tastings and interactive food stations showcasing India’s diverse cuisine. At the launch, Ranveer Brar, along with Gulbahar Taurani, MD & CEO of Versuni India, demonstrated how modern kitchen technology can simplify complex recipes while retaining authentic flavours. The appliance combines 33 cooking functions, including air frying, stir frying, steaming, and boiling, into a single unit. Powered by AmbiHeat™ technology, it uses intelligent temperature sensing to ensure consistent taste and texture across dishes.

Taurani said the product is designed to align with Indian cooking habits, making processes more efficient without compromising flavour. Brar highlighted that OneChef helps home cooks explore diverse recipes with ease and confidence. The event also featured a panel discussion with filmmaker Farah Khan and tech expert Rajiv Makhni on the future of smart kitchens.

With rising demand for smart kitchen solutions, Kolkata is expected to respond positively to OneChef. Urban households in the city are increasingly adopting multifunctional appliances to save time and space, making Philips’ latest offering well-positioned to tap into this growing segment.
