On Thrusday, Congress leader Pawan Khera got arrested at Delhi airport. He was on the flight to Chhattisgarh and soon he was deplaned on request of Assam Police, on the way to Delhi.
“We have requested Delhi police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). We will bring him to Assam after taking permission from a local court,” Prasanta Kumar Bhuyan, IGP L&O & Spox of Assam police said.
According to the sources, a case was registered against him at Haflong Police station in Assam Dima Hasao district.
Khera was on the way to Raipur to attend a party’s session along with his colleagues. Soon the whole staff deboarded the plane and asked the reason after which they started to protest against the BJP government. A massive drama was escalated at the terminal.
“We are all on the @IndiGo6E flight 6E 204 to Raipur and all of a sudden my colleague @Pawankhera has been asked to deplane,” Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, who was also on the flight, said on Twitter.
