Hospitality tech firm OYO announced the addition of 51 homestays and 14 hotels in Ayodhya on its platform ahead of the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple.
Around 65 properties have been added on the platform based in Ayodhya, OYO said on January 17. People can get budget-friendly rooms with prices starting from Rs 1,000, the platform said.
OYO has seen a 350% hike in searches for Ayodhya on its platform over the past year. The 65 properties in Ayodhya have been added to support the anticipated demand in tourism after the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple on January 22, 2024. To ensure smooth and timely operations, OYO has collaborated with the Ayodhya Development Authority and the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.
“We are delighted to welcome OYO’s expansion in Ayodhya. These newly inaugurated properties will increase our accommodation capacity and ensure a smooth experience for the pilgrims. Deepa Malik, Independent Director of OYO said that they have also launch 15 OYO homestays in Ayodhya with ramps to make it convenient for divyang (handicap) devotees coming to Ayodhya.
