On Friday, Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former union minister Rajen Gohain resigned as the chairman of Assam Food and Civil Supplies Corporation
The leader reported his reason for resignation from the party due to the delimitation of the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency and claimed it will be impossible for the party to win from that seat in the future.
Gohain said the recent delimitation process for the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency is unwinnable for BJP candidates in the future and has also put the people of the constituency under threat due to demographic change.
Gohain being a senior leader in the party also reported about feeling betrayed by his own party when he was asked to give recommendations through writing but was not heard instead, the leader feels betrayed after working obediently, genuinely for 25 years.
