during 7,400 hectares of crops in five districts of Maharashtra’s western Vidarbha area were destroyed by unseasonably wet weather during the course of the previous two days, according to deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Crops in the districts of Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Washim, and Buldana were harmed by the sporadic downpours.
