Optum, a leading health solution provider, partnered with the non-profit Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation (ABBF) at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2023 to promote disability inclusion and awareness. The partnership aimed to dispel misconceptions and increase visibility for individuals with disabilities and special needs through sports.
As a part of this collaboration, 50 Optum team members ran as allies with 50 persons with disabilities, to complete the 4.5 km run at the Delhi marathon on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
Speaking of this collaboration, Uma Ratnam Krishnan, Managing Director – India, Optum Global Solutions, said, “This has been a rich learning experience for team Optum that has inspired us to work with commitment to achieve our goal of creating effective, inclusive solutions for everyone we are privileged to serve.”
