On Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass 12-year-old boy hit by oil tanker

Recently a 12-year-old boy, Suraj Das, sustained serious injuries in a road accident while delivering food to his father. Actually the incident occurred in the Jaleswari area of Siliguri’s Eastern Bypass. In fact reports indicate that Suraj’s father, Lakshman Das, works at a local shop. On this particular day, Suraj was actually cycling along Jaleshwari Road to bring food to his father when he was struck by an oil tanker while crossing the street.

Actually the speeding vehicle struck the boy and fled the scene, leaving him critically injured. Local residents quickly rushed Suraj to Siliguri District Hospital for initial treatment. He was later transferred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for further care. This is actually very serious accident and right action need to be taken. Actually if you see road is very important infrastructure for everyone and for this reason we need to follow traffic rules very strictly to make road a safe place to travel.
