Ltd., one of India’s leading building materials companies, has launched Nuvoco Concreto Tri Shield, a high-performance Ready-Mix Concrete engineered to enhance structural durability and longevity. Part of the company’s flagship Nuvoco Concreto portfolio, the newly introduced product is positioned as a three-in-one durability solution aimed at protecting buildings exposed to harsh environmental conditions across India.
The company said the product has been specifically developed to counter rising challenges such as high chloride levels in borewell water and coastal air, rapid carbonation due to urban pollution, and sulphate-rich soil and groundwater. These factors are widely known to accelerate material degradation and weaken structures over time.
In Kolkata, the launch is expected to draw strong interest from builders and infrastructure developers operating in high-moisture and coastal-influenced conditions. The product offers three integrated shields. The Chloride Shield reduces penetration by 50% to protect reinforcement steel, while the Carbonation Shield cuts carbonation depth by 50% to maintain steel passivity. The Sulphate Shield resists cracking and delivers a 50% reduction in sulphate expansion. Nuvoco said these mechanisms work together to extend service life by 50%, validated through its NABL-accredited CDIC facility and international durability standards.
