NSDC partners with Axis My India to address skill gaps across India

In a strategic move to enhance skill development in India, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with Axis My India, a consumer intelligence firm, to leverage data-driven insights to identify and bridge skill gaps. This collaboration aims to improve skilling initiatives by mapping demand and supply across sectors and measuring the impact on beneficiaries, particularly in underserved regions.

The partnership will utilize Axis My India’s expertise in research and grassroots insights to ensure that skill development programs align with market needs. NSDC aims to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives by evaluating their impact on employability, income generation, and socio-economic upliftment. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, emphasized that this partnership would contribute to India’s mission of becoming a global hub for skill development.

The initiative will also focus on tracking participation rates, engagement, and outcomes of skill programs. Additionally, baseline surveys will be conducted to assess the current state of skill development and identify industry needs. The partnership aims to promote inclusive economic growth by ensuring maximum participation from rural and underserved communities. In Guwahati, this partnership could significantly boost the local job market by aligning skill development programs with regional industry requirements. With its growing economic significance in the northeast, Guwahati stands to benefit from a skilled workforce that meets the demands of emerging sectors such as technology, healthcare, and manufacturing. The collaboration promises to enhance employability in the region, fostering a more competitive and resilient local economy.
