NSDC launches ‘Centre for Future Skills’ to upskill workforce in emerging technologies

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), in partnership with Ethnotech Academy and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, has launched the “Centre for Future Skills,” aimed at equipping India’s workforce with cutting-edge technology skills. This initiative, launched under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, seeks to provide a platform for higher education institutions to access expert guidance and advanced tech infrastructure.

The Centre will focus on technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, and Robotics, preparing students for the rapidly evolving job market. Key discussions at the launch revolved around fostering collaborations between academia, industry, and corporate partners.

Shri Nitin Kapoor, Vice President of NSDC, highlighted the importance of upskilling in today’s world, stating, “Upskilling is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Our collaborations will bring global practices to India, positioning the country as a global skill hub.”
