NSDC International, a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp). This agreement, signed at Kaushal Bhawan, aims to revolutionize Malaysia’s talent ecosystem and strengthen bilateral relations between India and Malaysia.The MoU was formalized by Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, Managing Director and CEO of NSDC International, and Mr. Thomas Mathew, Group CEO of TalentCorp. The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Human Resources for Malaysia.
Shri Jayant Chaudhary emphasized the program’s alignment with industry needs and the role of the Skill India Digital Hub in addressing skill gaps. He expressed confidence that the tech advisory solutions provided by NSDC International would be highly beneficial for TalentCorp. The collaboration will focus on two main areas: digitalizing Malaysia’s talent ecosystem and implementing digitally verifiable credentials. This initiative will involve curriculum development, content creation, and the enhancement of assessment frameworks, with potential adoption of NSDC’s digital platform in Malaysia.
YB Steven Sim Chee Keong highlighted the impact of similar initiatives on improving wage levels and productivity. The new partnership will build on these successes to advance skills training programs tailored to Malaysia’s needs.The agreement also holds implications for the Guwahati, as Indian firms explore expanding their digital solutions across Southeast Asia. This partnership may open new avenues for local businesses and educational institutions in Guwahati, driving interest in digital skilling programs and enhancing regional collaboration in skill development.
