The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has formed a significant partnership with upGrad, Asia’s largest learning, skilling, and workforce Development Company. India and China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide quality higher education and skilling programs to India’s youth, aiming to enhance their skill-ability.
The collaboration aims to transform the educational landscape by enhancing skills and attracting a wider range of non-metropolitan aspirants to study abroad programs, positioning India as a global talent hotspot. Commenting on the development, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International said, “I am confident that the partnership will help in bridging the employment gap by improving accessibility and scalability in alignment with the industry demands, and Skill India Digital will be a powerful driver in this endeavour”.
NSDC and upGrad have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer online programs and a co-branded certification to learners from all walks of life. The partnership includes courses in Emerging Technologies, Management, Law, and Digital Marketing, as well as immersive learning experiences like industry-ready projects, bootcamps, masterclasses, live sessions, and personalized mentorship.
