The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), in partnership with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is set to host a mega job fair, Kaushal Mahotsav, in Bharatpur on November 19. The fair, announced by Bharatpur MLA Shri Subhash Garg, aims to provide career-launching opportunities, with over 11,000 vacancies in sectors like IT, hospitality, healthcare, and manufacturing. Highlighting the event’s objectives, Shri Garg emphasized that “skilling and entrepreneurship” are crucial to addressing India’s employment needs. The Kaushal Mahotsav, a pilot project involving local Gram Panchayats, offers both urban and rural youth soft skills training essential for excelling in today’s industries.
NSDC CEO Ved Mani Tiwari, present at the press conference, stated that the job fair is part of the government’s vision for job security and skill enhancement. “We’re reaching the remotest corners to ensure youth are job-ready,” he said. Bharatpur’s five-day Job Readiness Programme, currently underway, has already trained numerous participants in skills like communication, interview techniques, and time management.
In Guwahati, the job fair’s impact resonates as local markets increasingly seek skilled labor. Industries in Guwahati have recognized that NSDC-led initiatives bridge employment gaps, meeting demands for skilled workers across Assam’s sectors, particularly in manufacturing and services. The Kaushal Mahotsav in Bharatpur follows similar events nationwide, drawing significant participation and strengthening PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a skilled India by 2047. Interested candidates can register for Bharatpur’s event until November 14 via NSDC JobX.
