NSDC CEO and MD Shri Ved Mani Tiwari has urged Indian youth to leverage NSDC International’s skilling initiatives for ethical migration instead of risking lives through illegal “donkey routes.” Emphasizing the importance of ethical migration, Tiwari highlighted the organization’s efforts, supported by the central government, to streamline job opportunities abroad through collaborations with various international governments.
Tiwari revealed that NSDC International has established skill assessment centers for 100 trades across India to certify candidates ready for employment in countries like Israel, Japan, and Germany. “The world values skilled professionals, and the right training can open sustainable, high-paying careers abroad,” he said. Israel alone has requested 5,000 healthcare workers and 20,000 construction workers, indicating strong global demand for Indian talent.
NSDC International’s initiatives include setting up 10 international academies to train youth in Russian, Italian, Korean, and French, enhancing employability. The first academy, recently opened in Greater Noida, features state-of-the-art language labs for certifications like IELTS and JLPT. From a Guwahati market perspective, youth can take advantage of these opportunities to tap into global markets and secure sustainable livelihoods, further contributing to local economic growth. Since its inception in October 2021, NSDC International has created nearly 89,000 overseas job opportunities and facilitated placements for over 64,000 candidates across 22 countries. Tiwari reaffirmed NSDC’s commitment to expanding employment avenues globally for India’s skilled workforce.
