London-based consumer technology brand Nothing on Tuesday unveiled the Phone (4b), the first smartphone in its new (b) series, expanding its product portfolio with a device aimed at offering premium features at a more accessible price point. The smartphone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, a 6.77-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a 50MP OIS main camera, a 6,000mAh battery and Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16.
The Phone (4b) retains Nothing’s signature transparent design language and refined Glyph Bar featuring 45 individually controlled mini-LEDs for notifications and alerts. The company said the handset also introduces its complete Essential AI suite, including native ChatGPT integration, Google Gemini support, Circle to Search and AI-powered productivity tools through the Essential Key.
The smartphone features the company’s largest-ever battery, offering up to 18 hours of mixed usage, while 33W fast charging can recharge the device to 50 per cent in under 30 minutes. The 50MP OIS camera, paired with a 119-degree ultra-wide lens and TrueLens Engine 4, supports Ultra XDR imaging and 4K video recording with optical and electronic image stabilisation.
Nothing also announced a limited-edition Phone (4b) RCB Edition in collaboration with Royal Challengers Bengaluru to celebrate the franchise’s second IPL title. The special edition is available exclusively through a limited drop at the company’s flagship store in Bengaluru.
The Phone (4b) will be available in Black, White and Blue in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants at effective prices of ₹29,999 and ₹33,699, respectively, after applicable bank and exchange offers. Sales will begin on July 14 through Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales. The device will receive three years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
In Kolkata, the launch is expected to intensify competition in the upper mid-range smartphone segment, where demand remains strong among young professionals, students and content creators. Retailers in the city anticipate healthy consumer interest as the Phone (4b)’s combination of AI features, large battery, premium design and competitive pricing positions it against established rivals in the ₹30,000-35,000 price bracket. Availability through major retail chains and online platforms is also expected to support wider adoption across eastern India.
