Nitin Nabin, the National Working President of the BJP, arrived in Guwahati today as part of a two-day visit to Assam on Friday to assess the party’s 2026 Assembly election preparations. Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, BJP state president Dilip Saikia, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and other officials welcomed him with open arms at the LGBI Airport. In addition to meeting with the state BJP core committee at the State BJP office in Guwahati today, Nabin will speak at the first session of the Assam state BJP Executive meeting at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra.
“Ahead of the state’s Assembly elections next year, Nitin ji will motivate our karyakartas,” stated Chief Minister Sarma. Nabin will pray at the Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya Temple on Saturday, the second day of his two-day tour. “Nabin ji is making his first trip to Assam since taking over as working president. Dilip Saikia, head of the state BJP, stated, “We hope that his visit will be successful and that we will all receive his guidance for the upcoming elections.”
