Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari visits Assam to discus about the infrastructure that is undertaken across the state.
On Thrusday, the meeting was held between Nitin Gadkari and Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati.
During the meeting, the minister apprised the governor about his ministry’s plans to transport the Brahmaputra and promote business and trade activities and harness the huge power generation potential of the river.
Besides, some other decisions are to be implemented in the state. For example, state-of-the-art driving training centers, simulation training for drivers, development of border infrastructure, etc.
He also said that there is a need to establish an international design and manufacturing center for bamboo.
