Nissan ties up with Spinny to boost vehicle exchange, launches Magnite KURO edition

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has announced a strategic partnership with Spinny, India’s leading full-stack used car platform, making it the ‘Preferred Exchange Partner Platform’ across Nissan dealerships. The collaboration marks an industry-first move between an automobile OEM and a national-level used car aggregator, aimed at enhancing exchange benefits for customers while unlocking fresh business avenues for dealer partners.

As part of the initiative, customers exchanging vehicles through Spinny—either at Nissan dealerships or via Spinny’s platform—will receive exclusive benefits on new Nissan car purchases. Spinny’s evaluation teams will be deployed at dealerships based on demand, ensuring seamless vehicle assessments. A key highlight is the simplified claim process, where a Spinny-issued ‘Buying Letter’ will serve as valid proof of exchange, eliminating the need for transferred RC documentation.

The partnership also promises to strengthen dealer networks by creating new lead-generation opportunities through joint campaigns. Nissan will integrate Spinny branding into its promotions, while Spinny will highlight Nissan’s offers across its platforms. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said the tie-up reflects Nissan’s commitment to “strengthening the vehicle exchange ecosystem and contributing meaningfully to dealership growth.” Niraj Singh, Founder & CEO of Spinny, added that the collaboration would “redefine how car ownership and upgrades are experienced in India.” In Guwahati, one of the fastest-growing automobile markets in the Northeast, the partnership is expected to give a significant boost to urban and semi-urban buyers. Industry watchers say the move could increase customer confidence in vehicle exchanges while supporting Nissan’s sales momentum in a region where compact SUVs have strong demand.
