Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has recorded its highest single-year consolidated sales in seven years, registering over 99,000 units in FY 2024-25. This marks a 35% year-on-year (YoY) growth, driven by the New Nissan Magnite B-SUV, which played a pivotal role in both domestic and export markets. The company’s export business saw an all-time high of 71,000+ units, expanding its reach from 20 to 65+ international markets under the “One Car, One World” strategy. Domestically, Nissan sold 28,000+ units, overcoming industry challenges such as shifting consumer preferences toward alternate fuel vehicles.

We are committed to serving our customers while ensuring a leaner and more agile business,” he stated. In a strategic move, Nissan has announced the offloading of its stake in the Chennai JV plant to its Alliance partner, aligning with its global restructuring efforts. The company also confirmed plans to launch two new models—a 7-seater B-MPV in FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV in FY26.
Meanwhile, Nissan’s Guwahatihas shown steady growth, reflecting the rising demand for SUVs in the region. Dealers in Assam reported increased interest in the Magnite, particularly due to its affordability and segment-first features. The upcoming models are expected to strengthen Nissan’s foothold in the Northeast market. Looking ahead, Nissan will increase prices for the New Magnite by up to 3% from April 1, 2025, citing rising input costs. With its focus on expansion and product innovation, Nissan aims to maintain its momentum in India’s competitive auto industry.
