Additionally, the automotive giant has clinched an A- listing for its exemplary efforts in combating climate change, marking its 11th consecutive year at the forefront of this critical issue.
CDP’s rigorous annual environmental disclosure and scoring process serve as the benchmark for corporate environmental transparency worldwide. The nonprofit organization has lauded Nissan for its comprehensive approach to managing climate change and water security challenges across its Global-Environmental Management Committee and regional committees. Key highlights of Nissan’s sustainability initiatives include its executive compensation system, intricately linked to a climate change index, and the promotion of a 2050 carbon neutrality goal for both operations and the lifecycle of its products. Notably, the company’s pioneering EV36Zero initiative, launched at its Sunderland plant in the UK, stands as the world’s first EV manufacturing ecosystem.
