Over the last few months and as part of the relief equipment support, Nissan India has distributed N-95 masks, PPE kits, oxygen concentrators, portable ECG machines, X-ray machines, pulse oximeters and nasal oxygen machines in Delhi NCR & Chennai. Additionally, in partnership with the World Community Service Centre, RNAIPL distributes cooked food packets to migrant workers and the needy to solve the rising hunger crisis during the lockdown period. Nissan India has contributed Rs 2.2-crore to the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Relief Fund, Rs 25-lakh to the Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund and over Rs 4.3-crore for COVID-19 relief equipment, Masks, PPE Kits etc.
To fight against the second wave, Nissan India continues to heighten COVID-19 health and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) in its manufacturing plant, offices and dealerships to curb the spread of the virus. Nissan India has also distributed COVID-19 kits, increased insurance amounts, secured beds, oxygen concentrators and ventilators in nearby hospitals to support employees & their families.
Aiming to strengthen the COVID-19 safety initiatives and to increase awareness, RNAIPL has introduced compulsory online training modules and on-the-ground trainings with certified trainers on health & safety SOPs for its employees. RNAIPL has prioritised safety of its employees through structured changes in its transport and canteen occupancy to 50%.
