Nissan Motor India has commenced exports of over 10,000 units of the Left-Hand Drive (LHD) New Nissan Magnite, reinforcing its ‘One Car, One World’ strategy. The first shipment of approximately 2,900 units was dispatched in January 2025 to select markets in the Latin American (LATAM) region. A second wave, comprising over 7,100 units, is set to be shipped in February 2025 to the Middle East, North Africa, and select markets in LATAM and Asia-Pacific.
The New Nissan Magnite, manufactured at Nissan’s Alliance JV plant in Chennai, will now be available in over 65 global markets. Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President of AMIEO Region Business Transformation & President of Nissan India Operations, emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding exports, stating, “This is a significant milestone as we continue to position India as a key global hub.”
In India, the Magnite has gained traction in key regions, including Guwahati, where SUV sales have surged due to increasing demand for feature-rich, compact models. The vehicle’s affordability and turbocharged 1.0-litre engine have appealed to customers looking for a balance between performance and efficiency. With its growing global presence, Nissan’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision continues to gain momentum.
