Nissan launches state-of-the-art training centre in Chennai to boost customer experience

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has inaugurated its first National Training Centre, Nissan Academy, in Chennai. The facility, spanning 10,500 square feet at the Alliance JV plant, is aimed at upskilling over 1,000 dealership and service technicians annually. This initiative underscores Nissan’s commitment to enhancing customer experience across India. The Nissan Academy offers advanced training in sales, technical maintenance, and body shop services. It features a cutting-edge mechanical workshop for practical training in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls, alongside a modern body shop equipped with state-of-the-art tools for repair techniques. Inaugurated by Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President of the AMIEO Region and President of Nissan India Operations, the academy is set to bolster the skills of dealership teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery nationwide.

“The Nissan Academy marks a significant step in our journey to elevate customer service standards in India,” said Mr. Torres. “By investing in our dealership teams, we aim to provide unmatched service quality while reaffirming our commitment to the Indian market.” This initiative complements Nissan’s recent product expansions, including the launch of the New Nissan Magnite, which aligns with its ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy.

In Guwahati, the Nissan Academy is expected to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction significantly. With trained professionals addressing vehicle maintenance needs, customers in Guwahati can look forward to seamless after-sales service, strengthening Nissan’s presence in the competitive northeastern region. Nissan’s $1.8 billion investment in India, in partnership with Renault, has also created over 70,000 employment and skilling opportunities. This strategic move reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
