Nissan Motor India Private Limited on Monday launched a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit for the all-new Nissan GRAVITE, introducing a segment-first twin-cylinder setup aimed at enhancing fuel efficiency without compromising space. Priced at an introductory ₹82,999, the kit will be available across 60 cities in 16 states through authorised dealers. The GRAVITE CNG features two 25-litre cylinders, enabling full 7-seater functionality while retaining boot space and comfort. Developed and quality assured by Motozen, the kit comes with a third-party warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km. Nissan said the solution offers lower running costs and supports environmentally conscious mobility.
Senior executives highlighted India as a key market, noting that the launch builds on the response to the Nissan Magnite CNG variant. The company said the GRAVITE CNG targets families seeking affordable, practical and flexible 7-seater options for daily use. Technically, the system includes a BS6.2-compliant sequential CNG kit, ICAT certification, 8.1 mm cylinder thickness, dynamic advancer technology, and seamless petrol-CNG switchover, ensuring safety and performance.
In Guwahati, where CNG infrastructure is steadily expanding, the GRAVITE CNG is expected to attract high-mileage users such as families and fleet operators. Rising fuel prices and increasing urban traffic have pushed demand for economical mobility solutions, and Nissan’s 7-seater CNG offering could find strong traction in the region’s growing urban and semi-urban segments.
