Nissan India rolls out nation’s first 10-year warranty for Magnite, eyes long-term market trust

Nissan Motor India has unveiled the country’s first 10-Year Extended Warranty Plan for its flagship SUV, the New Nissan Magnite, which recently earned a Global NCAP 5-star rating for adult occupant safety. The initiative positions Nissan as a forward-thinking player, aligning with international best practices in customer retention and brand loyalty.

The plan, applicable only to vehicles with the standard 3-year warranty, offers flexible coverage — 3+7, 3+4, 3+3, 3+2, and 3+1 years — at just 22 paise per km or INR 12 per day. For the last three years, coverage is limited to engine and transmission, following seven years of comprehensive protection. Nissan-authorised service centres will offer unlimited cashless repairs, with financing available through Nissan Finance.

Where consumers value durability and cost predictability in vehicles due to challenging terrains and variable road conditions, the Magnite’s new warranty is expected to find strong acceptance. Dealers anticipate a rise in SUV demand as the offer lowers long-term ownership risks. “This programme is about delivering confidence for a decade, letting customers focus on their journeys,” said Saurabh Vatsa, MD, Nissan Motor India.
