Nissan India hits 99,000+ sales in FY25, powered by new magnite surge

Nissan Motor India has clocked its highest consolidated annual sales in seven years, reporting over 99,000 units sold in FY 2024-25—a 35% year-on-year growth—driven by the strong performance of the New Nissan Magnite B-SUV in both domestic and international markets.

Domestically, Nissan sold over 28,000 units, with the Magnite continuing to resonate with B-SUV customers despite rising competition from alternate fuel vehicles. The company’s export business surged to a historic 71,000+ units, expanding its footprint from 20 to over 65 international markets under its “One Car, One World” strategy. Amid global restructuring, Nissan reaffirmed its commitment to India, offloading its stake in the Chennai JV plant to its Alliance partner while announcing an all-new 7-seater B-MPV for FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV for FY26.

Dealers have observed a notable rise in Magnite inquiries, with customers citing its new design, segment-first features, and affordability. Local showrooms anticipate increased footfalls post the April price hike of up to 3%. The model’s E20 fuel compliance also appeals to environmentally conscious buyers in Assam’s growing urban clusters.Nissan’s leadership emphasized continued investments, dealer expansion, and a focused product strategy to bolster its position in the Indian automotive landscape.
