Nissan India doubles domestic wholesales in September, crosses 10,000-unit mark

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) reported total wholesales of 10,025 units in September 2026, comprising 3,300 units in the domestic market and 6,725 units in exports, as the automaker stepped up momentum ahead of the festive season.

Domestic wholesales doubled year-on-year to 3,300 units from 1,652 units in September 2025. Nissan attributed the growth to rising demand across its expanding SUV portfolio, including the all-new Nissan Tekton, Magnite and Gravite, along with the continued expansion of its dealer network.

Managing Director SaurabhVatsa said the near-doubling of domestic volumes validates Nissan’s product-led strategy, network strength and the contribution of finance and business partners. He also highlighted continued support from international dealers, distributors and customers for the company’s export performance.

The company exported 6,725 units during September, serving international markets under its “One Car. One World.” strategy, with India continuing to play a role in Nissan’s global operations.

In Guwahati, Nissan’s expanding SUV range and wider dealer network could support greater customer reach as demand typically gains momentum during the festive buying season. The Tekton, Magnite and Gravite give the company products across key SUV segments in the region.

The Tekton is positioned around Nissan’s SUV DNA, combining Japanese craftsmanship, technology, performance and everyday practicality.
