Nissan Motor India has commenced exports of its newly launched New Nissan Magnite SUV, reinforcing its ‘One Car, One World’ philosophy. Over 2,700 units have been shipped to South Africa within a month of the launch, with exports set to expand to 65+ markets, including Left-Hand Drive territories.
Manufactured at Nissan’s Alliance JV plant in Chennai, the compact SUV builds on the success of the original Nissan Magnite, which disrupted the compact SUV segment with global sales exceeding 150,000 units. “The New Nissan Magnite will enhance India’s position as an export hub,” remarked Frank Torres, Nissan India President, emphasizing the significance of India in Nissan’s global strategy. Guwahati, known for its growing SUV market, reflects the Magnite’s rising popularity.
The compact SUV, with its bold design, enhanced safety features, and affordability, appeals to customers seeking robust, urban-friendly vehicles that align with their adventurous lifestyle. Dealers report increasing inquiries, further solidifying its foothold in the Northeast region. The New Nissan Magnite, engineered with Japanese SUV DNA, offers 20+ segment-first features, including advanced safety systems like six airbags and Hydraulic Brake Assist. With a strong road presence and global standards, Nissan aims to captivate both domestic and international markets with its cutting-edge B-SUV.
