NIESBUD hosts workshop on digital market expansion and entrepreneurial growth

The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) organized the second Capacity Building Workshop, focusing on financial inclusion, market access, and digital competence for entrepreneurs. The two-day event, held in New Delhi, saw participation from over 100 entrepreneurs from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh, primarily trained under the SANKALP program.

Ms. Hena Usman, Joint Secretary, MSDE, highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, emphasizing digital linkages and marketing connections as crucial growth drivers. Panel discussions featured experts from IIM Lucknow, IIIT Delhi, and SIDBI, who explored key challenges and policy interventions.

The workshop also provided hands-on training on leveraging GeM, ONDC, and Meta for digital market integration. Guwahati’s entrepreneurs, particularly in the small business sector, stand to benefit from such initiatives by expanding their reach into digital marketplaces, driving economic growth in the region.
