The Hon’ble Union Minister of State (I/C),MSDE, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, visited the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) campus and engaged with the other trainees and trainers involved in various programs.Shri Jayant Chaudhary also visited a unique exhibition which was organised featuring products crafted by jail inmates and other successful entrepreneurs who have successfully completed EDP training under NIESBUD.
The Institute at Lucknow and Varanasi Jail showcased products prepared by jail inmates during ESDP programmes, highlighting the transformative impact of skill development and entrepreneurial training on inmates, reflecting NIESBUD’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship across various sectors. Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, said “Our mission is to provide them with the necessary tools, support, and mentorship to succeed. Together, we can build a more prosperous and inclusive society”.
The Minister met ex-servicemen undergoing the Entrepreneurship Development Programme at NIESBUD, sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence. The program aims to enhance the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills of retiring Armed Forces personnel, ensuring they can generate a gainful livelihood post-retirement. Over 3000 ex-servicemen have undergone EDP training at NIESBUD, recognizing their significant contributions to society in their new entrepreneurial roles.
