New Delhi hosts first-ever Darjeeling youth delegation led by Harsh Vardhan Shringla

In a landmark initiative for the hills, the first-ever youth delegation from Darjeeling will visit New Delhi under the leadership of Member of Parliament Harsh Vardhan Shringla. The 20-member delegation marks the first organised youth group from Darjeeling to undertake an institutional and leadership exposure programme of this scale in the national capital. The visit aims to provide firsthand exposure to key constitutional institutions and inspire leadership among young participants. A major highlight of the programme will be an interaction with the Vice President of India and other senior dignitaries of the Government of India, offering delegates direct insight into parliamentary democracy and governance.

During their stay, the group will visit Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan, and attend a session at the Union Public Service Commission. The itinerary also includes a special briefing by Shringla, interactions with leading tech CEOs, a dedicated module with UPSC coaching experts, and a guided educational tour of the capital. Shringla said the exposure would build confidence and broaden horizons, inspiring youth to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

The Darjeeling Welfare Society, led by Shringla, has been working on youth upliftment through free UPSC coaching, mentorship, sports and skill development initiatives.
