Network18 launches ‘Green Bharat’ conclave to drive India’s EV revolution

Network18, in collaboration with Ola Electric, successfully concluded the inaugural edition of the ‘Green Bharat’ conclave, aimed at accelerating India’s green mobility transition. The event brought together policymakers, manufacturers, and sustainability advocates to address the challenges and opportunities in India’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape.

Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal graced the event as Guests of Honour, underscoring the government’s commitment to sustainable mobility. Shri Nitin Gadkari expressed optimism, stating, “India is on track to become the largest EV manufacturing hub within the next five years, thanks to our young innovators and Prime Minister NarendraModi’s vision for a sustainable future.” Shri Piyush Goyal highlighted initiatives like FAME I and II, adding, “India holds a unique opportunity to lead the global EV transition, driven by innovation and robust infrastructure.”

AvinashKaul, CEO of Network18, emphasized the event’s role in fostering collaboration, saying, “Green Bharat has united policymakers and innovators to accelerate EV adoption and redefine mobility for a sustainable future.” In Guwahati, the conclave’s outcomes hold significant promise. As a key commercial hub in the Northeast, Guwahati stands to benefit from increased EV adoption, reducing dependency on conventional fuels and addressing pollution concerns. The region’s growing urban infrastructure aligns with India’s push for a greener future. The Green Bharat conclave marks a pivotal step toward establishing India as a global leader in sustainable mobility through innovation, policy advocacy, and collective action.
