NABARD Sanctions ₹200.36 Crore Loan for Assam

The Assam government has secured a loan of Rs 200.36 crore from NABARD, which has been approved by the State Cabinet for the implementation of 27 projects within the state. This funding will specifically support initiatives from the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Departments as well as the Border Protection & Development Departments under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)-XXXI scheme. Additionally, the State Cabinet has permitted individuals from the Moran community residing in Arunachal Pradesh’s border areas with Assam to register at the Employment Exchanges in Tinsukia district, provided they possess a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) and OBC certificates issued by the Government of Assam. This initiative aims to enhance employment prospects for the Moran youth, facilitating their engagement in government recruitment and employment-related opportunities, and thereby improving their access to formal employment channels in Assam.
