Mundra Port, the flagship port of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), has successfully berthed the largest container ship, MV MSC Hamburg, at Adani Ports Mundra. The ship, built in 2015, was anchored at the port on July 2nd, 2023, marking a significant achievement for the Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone in Mundra, Gujarat.
APSEZ successfully berths MV MSC Hamburg, a container ship with a carrying capacity of 15,908 TEU, 12 meters draught, 399 meters LOA, and 54 meters width, demonstrating its efficiency in the maritime transport sector. Mundra Ports successfully berth the largest ship ever.APSEZ aims to optimize port services and facilities for India’s development, with Mundra Port handling 40 vessel movements in 24 hours.
The port’s advanced infrastructure reflects India’s growing maritime industry and trade. After a temporary suspension due to Cyclone Biparjoy, the port resumed operations, ensuring container movement picks up and berthing vessels from various regions.
