A recent survey conducted by LEAD Group reveals that schools utilizing multimodal education significantly outperform those relying solely on traditional textbooks. The ‘Pulse of School Leaders Survey’ assessed over 500 private schools, encompassing nearly 1.7 lakh students, and highlighted that integrated learning systems markedly improve student outcomes.
The study found that schools employing multimodal approaches—incorporating textbooks, videos, and interactive activities—report superior results in conceptual understanding, confidence, and English proficiency. Specifically, 93% of schools using Integrated Systems noted high levels of conceptual understanding in Math and Science, compared to 85% in traditional settings. Similarly, 87% of these schools reported good confidence levels among students, versus 78% in non-integrated institutions. In Bihar, where the survey identified significant challenges such as inadequate teaching techniques and insufficient infrastructure, schools utilizing multimodal education were notably more successful. These schools reported 75% of their students being comfortable with English, contrasting sharply with 59% in traditional schools.
From a market perspective, Bhagalpur has seen a growing interest in educational innovation. Local schools adopting multimodal strategies have reported better student engagement and improved learning outcomes, reflecting the broader trends observed in the survey.LEAD Group’s CEO, Sumeet Mehta, emphasized the importance of embracing technology and diverse teaching methods to enhance educational quality.
